      • Hi Daniel,

Just found out that I have h.pylori. While Bernadette has mentioned her recommended supplements I read about L.reuteri as being helpful as well. Love to know more about it.

        • Also are there any dietary restrictions while doing the h pylori elimination protocol?

          • @Raahema

            Hey @Raahema,

I’m really glad you’re digging into this getting clear about H. pylori and how to support your gut while treating it makes a big difference in recovery.

You’re right: Lactobacillus reuteri, especially the DSM 17938 and ATCC PTA 6475 strains, has been shown in several studies to help reduce H. pylori load and improve tolerance to treatment. It doesn’t replace (herbal) protocols that help eliminate the bacteria, but it can:

            – Help restore healthy bacterial balance in the stomach

            – Reduce side effects like nausea or bloating from treatment

            – Support the stomach lining and reduce inflammation

Diet-wise, think of it as “feeding your healing, not the bacteria.”

Here’s what to avoid during an elimination protocol:

🚫 Refined sugar (H. pylori thrives on it)

🚫 Alcohol, caffeine, and fried/spicy foods (they irritate the lining)

🚫 Dairy, if it worsens symptoms like r

            eflux or mucus buildup
