🧬Amazing Microbiome Story: Helping Alzheimer’s with Gut Health
🎬 In today’s reel from the full session “Microbiome Insights: Health Benefits, Probiotics, and Medical Breakthroughs” with Dr. Sabine Hazan, we hear about an incredible case where a gut treatment helped a man with severe Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Hazan tells us about a patient who had serious memory problems. He received a special treatment called a fecal transplant, which used healthy bacteria from his wife’s gut. After 3 to 6 months, his memory started to get better! He could remember important things like his daughter’s birthday, and even his drawing skills improved a lot.
This shows how the bacteria in our gut can affect our brain and might help treat diseases like Alzheimer’s.
