Are You Doing Intermittent Fasting the Right Way?
In today’s clip from the full session “Cynthia Thurlow – Intermittent Fasting Q&A”, Cynthia answers the question: “What is Intermittent Fasting?”
When we hear the term intermittent fasting, many people think it means just skipping meals or going long hours without food. But as Cynthia explains, there’s a key distinction between digestive rest and intermittent fasting — and understanding it can change the way you approach your eating habits.
👉 Digestive rest is when you naturally go 12 hours or less without eating (for example, from dinner at 6 PM to breakfast at 6 AM).
👉 Intermittent fasting, on the other hand, means intentionally extending those hours — eating less often and allowing your body more time to rest, rebalance hormones, and improve overall health.💡 Cynthia reminds us that our bodies aren’t designed to be processing food 6–10 times a day, as many people do. Giving your body time not to eat can have powerful benefits beyond digestion — it supports your hormonal and metabolic systems too.
