• 🥛 Should You Cut Mold Off Food — Or Toss It?

This is the second reel we’re sharing today from Mold & Mycotoxin Illnesses with Dr. Jill Crista.

It’s a question many of us have asked: if food gets a little moldy, is it safe to just cut off the moldy part?

Dr. Crista says the answer depends. For most people, a tiny bit here and there (like on fruit or cheese) may not cause major harm if you cut away the mold carefully. But if you’re mold-sensitive or recovering from mold illness, it’s a different story.

👉 Even small amounts of moldy food can reinforce the body’s stress signals, disrupt your gut flora, and make symptoms worse.

Her advice: if you’re mold sick, skip the risk — don’t eat it.
