December 26, 2024 at 12:19 pm in reply to: Long Covid

    Good morning B.

The only formal diagnosis is this blood test result. Based on the results, the Endocrinologist said that I had long covid.

Regarding symptomsoverlap with my gastrointestinal issues. I can’t say for sure, it’s solely due to long covid. Anyhow, symptoms are fatigue, confusion, lack of concentration, sporadic breathlessness, weakness, irritability and loss of balance whilst walking, sporadic palpitations.

The Endocrinologist has referred me to a Cardiologist to rule out a condition called POTS. I have a follow up appointment with him on January 2nd following a battery of cardiac related tests and initial consultation in October/November. The tests were active stand tilt test, echo cardiogram, stress test echocardiogram (riding a bike) , 48 hour holster monitoring and cardiovascular blood test.

    Good morning B,

The only formal diagnosis for MCAS and histamine overload is this blood test.

Yes, I understand the reason for the above is due to the 3 digestive factors. I restarted the Betaine HCl (150mg out of 750mg) using empty capsule cases, continue to take digestive enzyme. I hope these two can triggers smooth bile flow.

December 24, 2024 at 6:46 pm in reply to: SIBO Breath test

    Hi B.

Dr. Lulsegged has recommended this alternative, but it’s too strong when I looked it up

    https://www.amritanutrition.co.uk/products/sibotic-180-vcapsules

I will run your suggestions pass him. Regarding Biocidin, how often do you recommend taking it? I appreciate it, I need to sort out of North of my digestive system as SIBO is the result of my upper GI issue.

My eating windows is between 1.00pm to 6.00pm. Sometimes, between 2.00pm to 7.00pm as I take supplements in the morning and there is a waiting in between.

December 24, 2024 at 6:40 pm in reply to: GI MAP & GI Effects

    Hi B.

It’s good to hear since January 2024 H. pylori number has reduced. Unfortunately, compared to June 2024, it’s crept up from 1.04e2 to 1.13e2. I’ve never stopped taking one 500mg capsule of mastic gum every morning and Theranordic Rezcue powder first thing in the morning. It contains L Glutamine and Zinc L Carnosine. I was working with a practitioner to help me wean off Famotidine (20mg at bedtime only) and in parallel taking Moss Nutrition Betaine HCl. Unfortunately, I could only tolerate 150mg out out of 750mg from one capsule which is nowhere near the requirement. I started to get heartburn and warm feeling in the chest so I stopped. My three months stint ended with him in September and couldn’t afford to continue working with him. However, I continue to take Moss Nutrition Digest Select digestive enzyme. I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place, but will figure this out somehow.

Could calprotectin have been reduced by taking Body Bio Balance oil?

Yes, SIgA has improved, but I haven’t been taking Moss Nutrition IGg Select for a long time. I am self injecting B12, taking Folinic Acid, B Minus, Vitamin A, D, K, NAC, Quercetin, MegaMucosa by Microbiomelabs, DGL, Marshmallow root powder, Magnesium Malate, Zinc L Carnosine capsule, Mega Benfotiamine by Life Extension and All Thiamine by Ecological Formuals. Balance oil by Body Bio. Could any of these help with increasing SIgA? I do use organic EVOO, coconut oil or very occasionally when cooking. I do have one or two semi boiled egg daily. My cholesterol has increased though. Please see attached blood test result on page 6.

Is ghee ok to increase butyrate? I was thinking of trying dairy free kefir. B. , What do you think of this company -> Coconut Kefir | Buy Coconut Milk Kefir | Live Kefir Company

I am limited to what I can eat as resistant starch due to gastroparesis such as nuts and seeds. I haven’t eaten potatoes for two years now due to being nightshade, worried about more bloating and constipated.

Please find attached my blood test from November 5th. Page 4 is my LFT and Bone Profile. I notice all my markers are in the upper range. That’s not a good sign?

November 19, 2024 at 12:22 pm in reply to: B 12 cause low ferritin?

    Good morning B.

Thank you for your detailed response.

How can I improve on my ferritin level without having to go through another IV infusion if the doctor suggests. I am worried about taking another supplement with my stomach issues, especially gastroparesis which is very debilitating. Gastroparesis is affecting the lining.

No, I won’t be able to tolerate meat at all. I can just about cope with chicken I’m afraid.

I still have the gastritis and yes I did try betaine HCl without pepsin. Around 180mg to 200mg, I would get heartburn or warm feeling, so I stopped taking it.

I am taking digest select digestive enzyme by moss nutrition and microbiome labs megaguard which appears to be a Prokinetic. I just started this last week. I find it uncomfortable and take one capsule. Maybe it’s the ginger.

It doesn’t matter, what I do. I just can’t tolerate it.

I’ve just repeated the gi map to see what is my gut situation is.

I am meeting the Endocrinologist who by chance has asked me to have a blood test for full iron studies. The GP surgery only requested ferritin.

    B. Is my cholesterol high? There is serum cholesterol of 6.1. Is this considered high? Is this also known as fasting cholesterol?

    Hi B. ,

Yes it does. I am looking for a DE which is less potent, but able to digest protein.

Thank you for the clarification with regards to other macronutrients units.

  • Thank you so much B. for the clarification.

I am looking forward to the peptide zoom video call. It would good to get thoughts on BPC157.

July 8, 2024 at 9:43 pm in reply to: GI MAP Results

@Bernadette Abraham hi. I met him once. He prescribed one of the supplements by the company you mentioned. I took it but it would burn my stomach. He wanted me to take it frequently during the day. I couldn’t tolerate it and never went back. Plus, he was very costly and told me stop supplements through some technique which I could tolerate.

I am not confident in trying metula tea in case they don’t refund. I could try silver hydrosol. Never heard of this.

I’m not 100% gluten free due to having refined sugar foods at night. It’s only the sugar craving. I don’t have anything else.

I have not come across acai bowl.

The mango sorbet is a great idea.

GI revive is a great product. Unfortunately, it has mucin pork based. I haven’t been able to find an equivalent product.

I can’t tolerate bone broth on it’w or chickenrmeqt stock due to the fat. Cabbage juice burns. You mention, okra. Do you mean drink the slimy water?

July 8, 2024 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Metabolomix Plus Test Result

    @Bernadette Abraham Hi B.

I can confirm that i did not have bananas, avocados, walnuts, tomatoes, egg plants and pineapple as I don’t have high histamine or nightshade foods. Are there markers in the report which say otherwise? Also, the doctor didn’t advise me to stop any foods.

Regarding B12 and B9, I did not take these for about a month prior to testing I think.

I definitely need high dosage in any case.

Sure, I will watch the fatty acid course.

Yes, I’ve read your response about GI map.

    B. Genova website have have interpretation guide to the metabolomix test, but I can’t access it as I need a practitioner login. Is it possible to obtain this interpretation guide so that I can interpret the results myself if I repeat it.

    B. When is your next live call pls.

July 7, 2024 at 9:15 pm in reply to: Metabolomix Plus Test Result

    @Bernadette Abraham hello.

I have heartburn, acid reflux, bloating, abdominal distension, stomach burning occasionally, low energy, poor sleep due to having nightmares or getting woken up by mum when she’s not feeling well, confusion, loss of balance.

Also, I am passing wind, but fouls smell and stools too. Is this due to the sugar.

I am self injecting B12 alternate days and taking this folate by metabolics.

    https://www.metabolics.com/methyltetrahydrofolate.html

I have yet to look for a B Complex excluding B12 and folate

You mentioned I am following a high fat, moderate protein and low car diet. I tgues I am without realising. Which markers show this?

I am not taking high histamine or nightshade foods. Do the results say otherwise?

Do I need omega 6 too. What is gla?

I am taking magnesium byglicnate capsules . Some days, I can’t tolerate it.

    Biggest issue B. is sugar.
